Seashell Resort Koh Tao-SHA Plus faces Sairee Beach on Koh Tao’s west coast. This is the island’s main beach strip, with a long sandy shoreline, dive schools, restaurants and beach bars. The beach stretches for about 1.8 km and is known for sunset views towards Koh Nang Yuan. Haad Sairee is 200 m from the resort, while Ao Hat Sai Ri is 350 m away. The northern part of Sairee is generally quieter than its southern end, where nightlife is livelier.
Koh Tao has no airport, so visitors arrive by ferry at Mae Haad pier. Lomprayah Koh Tao Pier is 1.5 km from the resort; island taxis connect the pier with Sairee, and a flat coastal path links Mae Haad and Sairee on foot. Ferries from Koh Samui take about 1.5–2 hours, with the journey ending at Mae Haad before the onward trip to the beach. Chumphon is another mainland ferry departure point.
Diving and snorkelling are major activities around the island, which has more than 25 dive sites. Sairee Viewpoint is 1.4 km away, and the View point on Sairee beach and Koh Nang Yuan is 1.3 km away. Jansom bay is 2.3 km from the resort; Koh Nang Yuan is a short long-tail boat trip from Sairee. February to April is typically the driest, calmest period. The west coast is usually calmer from November to March, while whale sharks are most often seen around Koh Tao in March–May and September–October.
